Christina’s Approach

I am committed to providing a safe and supportive environment to guide you through the therapeutic process. My approach to therapy is collaborative and holistic, addressing the interconnected aspects of mind, body, and spirit to help you achieve a deeper sense of well-being.

My eclectic therapeutic orientation draws from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Lifespan Integration, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Mindfulness, Strengths-Based Solution-Focused Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. Together, we will focus on your strengths and explore strategies to navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, interpersonal relationships, and other life difficulties.

Our sessions typically last 53 minutes and are scheduled according to clinical need and clinician availability, though adjustments may be made throughout treatment. During our time together, we will regularly review your progress and satisfaction with therapy to ensure our work aligns with your goals.

ABOUT Christina

I am a Bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Oregon, with over 20 years of experience in community mental health. I hold a Master’s in Social Work (MSW) with a specialization in Mental Health from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, earned in 2004, and a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Sciences with a minor in Spanish from Oregon State University, completed in 2002.

Throughout my career, I have worked extensively with individuals addressing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, interpersonal relationship dynamics, and life transitions. My therapeutic approach is informed by ongoing professional development in evidence-based practices, including Lifespan Integration Level Two, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Mindfulness, Internal Family Systems (IFS) concepts, and other modalities.

As your therapist, my role is to actively listen, ask purposeful and insightful questions, and provide practical strategies tailored to your goals. My collaborative approach fosters a space where you can access your inner wisdom to guide our work together. Empowerment is a cornerstone of my practice, as lasting change begins with cultivating your confidence and autonomy in this process.

You can expect me to approach our sessions with warmth, authenticity, and compassion. I strive to provide a professional yet supportive environment where you feel understood and respected as we navigate this phase of your journey together. It is a privilege to walk alongside you in your pursuit of wellness, and I look forward to offering my expertise in service of your growth and healing.
