Rachelle’s Approach

My personal philosophy of counseling derives from the idea that everyone has the right to feel healthy and balanced within their lives. I implement a Cognitive Behavioral treatment approach to counseling with a strong basis on the principles of Motivational Interviewing when exploring change. This is your journey and because of that, I take a person centered approach to your treatment. I feel that the relationship between client and therapist is the most important factor in helping you reach your goals.

About Rachelle

Pronouns: she/her

Hello! My name is Rachelle and I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor for over 15 years and I am also a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I have experience working with both youth and adults who need support with issues related to trauma, anxiety, mood related concerns, and psychosis. I also am experienced in helping those involved in the judicial system.

I believe that healing and overcoming life’s stressors is a collaborative process that can only happen in a safe and supportive space. I take a person-centered approach to treatment in which a healthy therapeutic relationship promotes healing and growth.

I employ different evidenced based practices to treatment which include Collaborative Problem Solving, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma-Focused CBT to help find the best interventions to match your learning style.
