Sherresa’s Approach

Sherresa's work centers on Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), a well-researched, attachment-based approach to couples counseling. In session, you'll slow down the cycle that pulls you apart, name the feelings underneath the conflict, and look at how past relationships shape the way you connect today. With individuals, she draws on psychoanalytic training to explore how your attachment history shows up in your relationships now.

About Sherresa

Sherresa has worked in various community and non-profit settings as a counselor in-training and experienced educator. She is a highly attuned therapist who believes in a collaborative counseling process and prioritizing a safe, trusting relationship with you. Sherresa is passionate about helping individuals and couples restore relationship connection and heal using an Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) approach.

Therapy is a joint effort to explore what you want to address in your sessions. Partnering in therapy means helping you recognize your strengths and opportunities for growth in self-awareness and examining how your attachment history influences your current relationships. She centers therapy around a psychoanalytic and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) approach. EFT involves exploring where disruptions occur in your relationship patterns and supports you in restoring connection with yourself and others.

With your courage and willingness to engage in therapy, Sherresa is dedicated to helping you heal, grow, and build secure bonds within yourself and in your relationships.

She offers appointments via telehealth, as well as in-office visits in Salem, OR.
